The celebration of the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China (PRC) started on the morning of Oct. 1, 2019 at the Tian'anmen Square in Beijing, capital of China. Chinese President Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission, delivered a speech at the rally and inspected the parade soldiers. And a military parade and a mass pageant were held at the Tian'anmen Square. Watching the national day celebration helps teachers and students strengthen the belief of “remain true to our original aspiration and keep our mission firmly in mind.”School leaders, retired veteran, comrades together with teachers and students watch or listen to live shows in the lecture hall, in the meeting room,at home or in the dormitory, witnessing the great changes of our motherland.
After the ceremony, members of the departments held a symposium to share their thoughts and visions for the future.The ceremony won wide praise and aroused emotional resonance of all. Both teachers and students were filled with pride, sense of achievement and mission. They all expressed their love for motherland and blessed her prosperity. They said that they should turn their passion forthe country into their own thoughts and actions teaching and studying for the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
Lu Da'an, a retired Party member, said that life was tough in the past, the world is changing quickly now and the future will be bright. And he continued that in a glorious age, senior party members shall shoulder the responsibility of the times: First, we must hold high the great banner of socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era. Second, we must enhance our confidence in the CPC and our confidence in the Chinese dream. Third, we must devote ourselves to the satisfactory education for all students and strive to realize the goal put forward in the10th Party Congress of HZAU.
Dai ke, Associate Professor of the College of Resources and Environment and the Party branch secretary, said, “It is inspiring to see soldiers march in orderly ranks with advanced weapons. And I feel that the dream of realizing great national rejuvenation would soon become a reality. As a university teacher, I must bear the mission of strengthening morality education in mind. And I should not only teach students professional knowledge but also inspire students with ideals and beliefs and moral sentiment so as to contribute to the cultivation of socialist builders and successors. ”
Li Kewei, one of the 2019 graduate students from College of Animal Science and Technology said that he would take revolutionary ancestors as examples, carry forward the firm belief and indomitable spirit and bring new forces to the great cause of rejuvenating the Chinese nation. Cheng Jingran, a student of the College of Economics and Management, could not restrain his excitement and said, "I am particularly excited after watching the ceremony, and I am proud of being a Chinese." He said that based on current situation, he should broaden his horizon and study for the rejuvenation of China.
