Recently, China Foundation for Poverty Alleviation（CFPA） initiated Benefaction 100 Care Movement nationwide. The foundation awarded 122 outstanding teams and organizations, including Work and Study Management Center of HZAU.
Benefaction 100 Care Movement is supported by China Post, and jointly initiated by CFPA and China Movie Channel. Targeting at help 100,000 primary school students in poor areas, the movement takes “Fight for Love, Be the Hero for Children” as its slogan. Dressed in red capes, volunteers joined the movement in more than 800 donation stations, including post offices and convenience stores. Self-improvement Association of HZAU and Work and Study Management Center calls upon student to actively join the movement to help those children in need. According to the statistics, 212 students joined the movement as volunteers who served 933 hours totally, and collected nearly ¥ 20,000 worth of packets.
It’s said Benefaction 100 Care Movement is one of the programme of the Double - Hundred Plan by Work and Study Management Center since 2014. According to the plan, every student in the work and study programme would donate 1% of their wages to the Self-improvement Fund per month, and take 1% of their time to participate in charitable activity. The plan aims to nurture their spirit of devotion, raise their sense of responsibility and gratitude, so as to make them pass positive energy. Until now, the center has donated more than ¥48,000, helped over 100 poverty stricken students, and supported its members to organize and participate in 175 public benefit activities, which attracted over 3500 people with 5000 hours in total.
