On December 22, the 7th Exchange and Seminar of BMB NSFC, organized by the Laboratory of Bacillus and Molecular Biology of Life Science College in HZAU was held in the conference room on the second floor of the National Engineering Research Center for Microbial Pesticides. Attendees included more than 20 delegates from the Wuhan Institute of Virology, CAS , Chinese Academy of Tropical Agricultural Sciences, Hubei University, Hubei Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Hubei Engineering University, Wuhan Engineering University, Hubei Minzu University, Guangzhou Medical University, Jiangxi Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Henan Institute of Animal Husbandry, Industry & Commerce, Wuhan Vocational and Technical College and colleges of HZAU, such as College of Life Sciences & Technology, College of Plant Sciences & Technology , College of Fisheries.
During the meeting, 11 young scientific researchers respectively talked about the problems existing in their topic basis, research ideas, application process and so on. Then the teachers exchanged and discussed pertinently in terms of innovation, importance, content and ideas of topic.
After the discussion and communication, professor Peng Donghai from College of Life Sciences & Technology talked about his feelings of attending in terms of his several experiences of participating in the meeting. He said that through the meeting, young scientific researchers not only can focus their research area, but also make their career direction more clearly. At the same time, Peng expressed his heartfelt thanks to Prof. Sun Ming, who had been organizing such an excellent fund application and exchange platform for a long time, and the staff who organized the meeting. He hoped that everyone would cherish and grasp such an opportunity, and continue to carry on the exchange and seminar and expand its influence.
Finally, Prof. Sun summarized that the meeting provided an opportunity not only to share the experience in the process of fund declaration, but also discuss the problems that exist and career development issues of scientific research workers. Compared with the past, everyone has made great progress in the process of fund declaration. And he saw everyone's development potential. He also reminded everyone of dealing with the current and long-term relationship because fund declaration was not a one-off deal. He said, "Although we have passed the youth fund declaration on the whole, but in the future, we still have to face many challenges. I hope that you will continue to strengthen your awareness, have a keen insight, continue to learn, think and reflect, but also to struggle to move ahead in failure.”
