Li Mingjia, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission of HZAU, and his delegation visited Hubei HVSEN Biotechnology Co. Ltd. to boost school-enterprise cooperation on the afternoon of November 15. The delegation, consisting of some members of the administrative body and a veterinary drug R&D team of College of Animal Sciences & Technology and College of Veterinary Medicine（CAST&CVM） was warmly received by HVSEN Chairman Zhang Weiyuan, Deputy general manager Liu Jie, Chen Peifeng, Secretary of the Party Committee, and other division directors of the company.
On behalf of the company, Zhang Weiyuan first expressed warm welcome to the delegation from HZAU, and his appreciation of the long-term support and help from HZAU. He then introduced the development and changes of the company, its current status and new strategic plan. He also stated his hope to further strengthen its in-depth cooperation with HZAU and to jointly build a national, even a world-class animal health enterprise, by integrating the resources of the university with those of the company, seeking mutual development and enhancing its competitive power in science and technology.
Liu Jie, vice general manager of HVSEN Biotech, and Zhou Jian, director of the company’s human resources department, reviewed the close cooperation between HZAU and HVSEN Biotech in scientific and technological cooperation and personnel training respectively. Liu Jie said, “HZAU and our company have laid a solid foundation for cooperation in science and technology, and both sides have achieved fruitful results in project application, technological improvement and product research and development.” “There is an inseparable relationship between HZAU and HVSEN Biotech as HVSEN culture is deeply rooted in HZAU and one in eight employees is from HZAU,” Zhou Jian pointed out.
Liu Xingbin, Secretary of the party committee of CAST&CVM, said that against the backdrop of previous work, HZAU and HVSEN Biotech should take this meeting as a juncture in embarking on a deeper and more systematic cooperation at higher level and in wider scope, and in providing broader spectrum of support and guarantee. It is hoped that both parties can innovate the cooperation mode, explore new cooperative mechanism, and focus on practical results to reach a win-win and even multi-win situation.
Summing up the cooperation between HVSEN Biotech and HZAU, Li Mingjia stressed: we should build a high-end talent training platform with university-enterprise integration and common vision of personnel training; we should have more reasonable positioning and set the R&D of high-end products at higher scientific and technological level and with higher added value as our goal to make the enterprise bigger, firmer, and stronger; we should cooperate with great sincerity and develop careful and clever plans to realize an all-round cooperation with all parties and all levels involved.
At the meeting, the two sides exchanged ideas on the fields, directions and priorities of future cooperation. Li and his delegation also visited the R&D Center of the company and its laboratories.
