On the afternoon of April 27th, a group of officials headed by Du Zhanyuan, member of the Party Committee and Vice Minister of the Ministry of Education, came to HZAU to inspect the construction of "Double First-Class". Other group members included several officials from the Ministry of Education like Li Jun, Secretary of the Department of Degree Management & Postgraduate Education; Gao Runsheng, Counsel of the Department of Science and Technology; Zhu Rui, Consultant of the Quality and Discipline Building Division of the Department of Degree Management & Postgraduate Education; Xiong Shuanglin, Consultant of The General Office, etc., as well as Tao Hong, Party Secretary and Director of the Department of Education of Hubei province and etc. Leaders of of our school headed by Gao Chi, Party secretary of HZAU accompanied the inspection.

Mr.Du visited the Cooperative Innovation Center for Sustainable Pig Production, the Key Laboratory of Horticultural Plant Biology, Ministry of Education, and the Flower Base, learning more about the construction of first-rate disciplines in Veterinary Medicine, Animal Husbandry and Horticulture, the Cooperative Innovation Center for Sustainable Pig Production and National Key Scientific Infrastructure for Agricultural Microbiology. During the trip, Mr.Gao and other school leaders introduced to Mr.Du the school's implementation of the plan and progress of the "Double First-Class" construction.

Mr.Du appreciated the establishment of "Double First-Class" in our school and extended his congratulations on our schools’ 120th anniversary. He hoped that our university will continue to give full play to our advantages on the basis of our own characteristics, achieve connotative and high-quality development through focusing on the "Double First-Class" construction, thus meeting the country’s strategic needs.
