Life is like a river with twists and turns. Fate is like a wave with ups and downs. Perseverance and ambitions make a man. This is also the story of Zhou Deqing. He was encountered by challenges since childhood, and all the adversities tanned him to be unyielding. By relentlessly exceeding himself, Zhou pursued his dream in whatever will come.The setbacks of his schooldays
Born in 1986 in a rural family at Yiyang, Hunan province, Zhou Deqing went to Zhengzhou Martial Arts School for a three-year training at nine where he toned up his body and moulded his tenacious character. Unfortunately he was forced to give up because of poverty. At twelve, he had to start learning general knowledge courses from the very beginning. After half a year, he made great progress and leaped from the last to the top. But due to the factor of his residence registration, Zhou Deqing was refused by key senior high schools. However, he got good grades and was awarded the title “Outstanding Student in Henan Province” by his own efforts. After high school, he failed to be admitted to Tsinghua University because of some reasons. Finally, he was accepted by Huazhong Agricultural University with a score of over 600 in the college entrance examination. With some regrets and hopes for the future, he finished the schooldays, but he did not give up his dreams. In college and after graduation he was constantly struggling to make his dream come true.
The frustrations of his business
In HZAU, Zhou Deqing founded the Dexin College Students Entrepreneurship Union with a scale of over 30 people. They sold about 500 sets of fans and some other school supplies to freshmen with a turnover of more than hundred thousand yuan. In 2006, he proposed the concept of group purchase which reached its climax in 2008. In junior year, he started to prepare for the postgraduate entrance examination, therefore he asked a friend to manage the union. However，the union had to be dissolved due to poor management. Zhou Deqing suffered from depression because of the failure. Thanks to his strong body and perseverance, eventually, he overcame the depression with the help of medicine and his self-control.
After graduating from HZAU, he got his first job earning four thousand yuan per month. However, after six months, he resigned and went to Beijing. With the conviction that life science was going to be a promising industry, he joined a biological start-up company. His commute was as long as four hours. He taught himself and acquired the basic professional knowledge. Unfortunately, during that time he had to quit his job to take care of his mother who had cancer. It was so bumpy on the way to his career, but he never stopped striving.
The realization of his dreams
In September 2012, after working for one year in Beijing, Zhou Deqing founded his first company, Beijing Yiming Biological Technology Co., Ltd., which specializes in technical service in the field of life science.
Over the years he has gone through a variety of difficulties to found an undertaking. He learned entrepreneurial theory and business management theory during his studies at Peking University and Tsinghua University. His companies all tided over the hard time and entered the stable operation period. On this basis, he built two major brands, e-bioq. and e-biosphere, in the field of life science. Among the subsidiaries under the brand of e-bioq., four companies are totally owned by him, three with his majority shareholding and two with is participation. At present, the annual sales of his first company, Beijing Yiming Biological Technology Co., Ltd, is over 11 million yuan. He also prepares to establish subsidiaries of e-bioq. in Changsha and Wuhan.
With the aim to establish a one-stop research service platform designed for doctors, Zhou Deqing and his companies are thriving and ready to fulfill more dreams.
