HZAU started its spring semester on February 13. Over 100 executive leaders, including President, Vice Presidents and administrative directors attended the lectures with students. On the first day, all of the colleges offered 302 courses in total. 460 teachers gave lectures in 553 classrooms, with an attendance of 32,433.

In the first lecture of Morality and Law in Classroom A203 at No.4 Teaching Building, Ms. Huang Yuanyuan from College of Marxism began the class with the questions on students’ experiences during the Spring Festival holiday and New Year’s resolutions, and then asked them to have a glance at long-lost hustle and bustle returning to our campus and across the country.

In “The First Class of the New Semester”, under the theme of “Begin the new journey, and set sail again”, teachers exchanged their ideas with students in terms of epidemic prevention and control, economic development and Chinese path to modernization, encouraging them to embark on a new journey with vitality.

After the class of Bioseparation Engineering, Tao Jijun in Class 2004, College of Life Science and Technology, expressed vicarious pleasure when Associate Professor Mei mentioned that our campus has come back to its normal bustle. “Compared with the campus lockdown period, there are more vehicles now,” Tao said. ‘‘It’s amazing to take offline classes when the campus revives its vigor” he continued. And Liu Liangyu in Class 2210, College of Plant Science & Technology, said: “the lecture of Morality and Law not only has injected an impetus into our study in the new semester, but also has been a reminder of my responsibility and mission. In the new semester, I will chase my dream with confidence and perseverance.”

The head of the Undergraduate School introduced that current teaching has gone smoothly overall: teachers’ full preparations for lectures, smart teaching activities and positive classroom atmosphere. Additionally, students have attended lectures regularly with active engagement in their learning; teaching facilities and services have been under normal operation and in place.

Functional departments and college administrators all arrived in the classroom earlier, observed teachers’ instruction and then conducted class evaluation accordingly. After lectures, each college respectively convened a meeting to collect feedback for further improving the teaching quality later on the day.
