Recently, the Society of China University Journals released the lists of “The Model Cases of China University Journals - Outstanding/Top 100/Excellent Sci-tech Journals for 2022”. Journal of HZAU was selected as one of the “Top 100 Sci-tech Journals” for the fourth consecutive year. Meanwhile, Journal of HZAU（Social Sciences Edition）again entered the list of“Most Influential Academic Journals in China”released by China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), winning the title of“Outstanding Academic Journals with International Influence in China”.
Since 2016, the Society of China University Journals has been conducting the selection of “Outstanding/Top 100/Excellent Sci-tech Journals of Chinese Universities” once every two years. The “Top 100 Journals” are evaluated based on the following criteria: domestic and international influence, domestic honors, and domestic and international dissemination and utilization of the journal in the past two years. Since 2012, CNKI and Tsinghua University Library have developed the“Annual Report for International Citation of Chinese Academic Journals” every year. By mining the citation data of more than 20,000 international academic journals, they select the journals with CI ranking top 5% as“Most Influential Academic Journals in China” and the top 5-10% as “Outstanding Academic Journals with International Influence in China”.
In recent years, Journal of HZAU has been continuously enhancing its influence. According to the Annual Report on the Impact Factor of Chinese Academic Journals released by CNKI and China Scientometrics and Bibliometrics Research Center, the composite impact factor of Journal of HZAU（Nature Sciences Edition）is 2.101, 34.8% higher than that of 1.565 in 2020; The composite impact factor of Social Sciences Edition reaches 5.551, with an increase of 18.9%, and the comprehensive impact factor reaches 3.250, with an increase of 11.9%, ranking the 6th among 50 academic journals in the field of agricultural economics.
The director of the Journal Center said that the successive awards for Journal of HZAU were attributed to the high-level commitment of HZAU, the unremitting efforts of the Editorial Board, as well as the full support of the authors, readers and reviewers for many years. The Center will thoroughly study and implement the guiding principles of the 20th CPC National Congress and respond to President Xi Jinping’s instructions on creating first-class academic journals and academic platforms. By working meticulously on soliciting contributions, examining contributions, editing, publication and promotion, it will give play to its exemplary and leading role and improve quality, striving to make Journal of HZAU join the ranks of first-class journals.
