On December 18-19, the 2021 International Forum on the Dissemination of Chinese Culture was held online by the College of Humanities & Social Sciences of HZAU and Research Center for Dissemination of Chinese Culture. Over 160 people attended the online conference exchanged their ideas, including 26 experts from Japan, Korea, Germany, Kazakhstan, Indonesia, Vietnam, Hong Kong and other countries & regions, and postgraduate students from different universities.
This conference focused on the theory and practice of Chinese cultural communication in the context of globalization. Its main topics covered two categories: the history & reality of Chinese cultural communication and teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language(CFL). The content consists of the history, role, content, characteristics, methods and countermeasures of Chinese culture and its communication, research on international communication and teaching of Chinese language, literature & culture, and the teaching reform of language & culture-related courses in the background of the construction of new liberal arts.
The forum was convened by Prof. Geng Bi from the College of Humanities & Social Sciences. with Associate Dean Zhancheng Sun presiding over the opening ceremony, Dean Beihai Tian delivering the opening speech, and Professors Geng Bi, Limin Li, Lin Yuan and Lin Shen from Anhui Agricultural University presiding over the four sessions respectively. Prof. Bi said this forum was the second academic activity carried out by the Research Center since its establishment in July last year, and it was also an important exploration to strengthen academic research and communication under the background of the construction of new liberal arts. He added we should vigorously strengthen the communication with domestic and foreign experts and scholars, continuously improve the teaching and research of Chinese language & culture and its international communication, and promote the development of humanities and quality education in HZAU.
