The China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA) and the Ministry of Education (MOE) jointly issues the list of the third batch of National Intellectual Property Information Service Centers at Universities. HZAU and other 19 universities are on the list.
The Intellectual Property Information Service Center of HZAU (“the Center” for short) was established in October 2019. And the library of HAZU is responsible for its construction. The center aims to further IP information service, optimize the allocation of IP resources, integrate the service into the whole chain of IP creation, application, protection, management and service so as to promote the transformation of scientific & technological achievements. Since its establishment, the center has done a job in IP training, patent information consultation & retrieval, IP information construction, and patent analysis. It has also undertaken relevant work entrusted by the Intellectual Property Administration Department of HZAU.
The Center’s establishment gained supports from CNIPA, the Science & Technology Development Center (MOE) and the IP Administration Department (HZAU). Cooperating with the Office of Achievement Management of the Institute of Science and Technology Development (HZAU), the Center actively joined two alliances: the IPR Information Service University Alliance of Hubei Province and relevant Agricultural University Alliance. In recent years, the Center has also completed a series of multi-type patent analysis reports and participated in the patent research projects of CNIPA.
This selection shows the full acknowledgement to the work of the Center, and also provides a new platform and opportunity for the Center’s future development. The Center will earnestly implement the innovation-driven development strategy, promote the "Double First-class" construction of HZAU. Taking the needs of faculty, students and local economic construction as the lead, the Center will also further the cooperation with all departments in the university, take full advantage of IP information to provide in-depth and higher-level IP information service for the university and make contributions to the development of agricultural industry in Central China.
