On the evening of March 24, HZAU held an online meeting with the University of Veterinary Medicine Budapest (UVMB), Hungary to discuss cooperation. Representatives from the both sides, including Péter Sótonyi(President of UVMB), Tibor Bartha(Vice President of UVMB), Szonja Buslig(Counselor of Culture and Education, Embassy of Hungary in China), Zhaohu Li(President of HZAU), Ping Qing(Vice President of HZAU) and relevant persons in charge of the Department of International Cooperation and Exchanges and the College of Animal Science & Veterinary Medicine, HZAU attended the meeting, which was hosted by Ping Qing.
Péter Sótonyi firstly introduced the basic situation, internationalization level and orientation of UVMB. He expressed that UVMB has been looking forward to cooperating with HZAU and hoped that both sides would continue to enhance mutual understanding, start steady cooperation from faculty training, research collaboration and other aspects, and further broaden areas of cooperation in the future.
Zhaohu Li introduced the basic situation of HZAU. He said that the two universities have their own characteristics in the field of veterinary medicine and have a broad space for cooperation. He hoped that both sides would further give full play to their respective characteristics and advantages through cooperation and exchanges to achieve win-win cooperation.
At the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on exchange visits of teachers, joint scientific research and construction of animal hospital. Both sides expressed their expectation to sign the strategic cooperation agreement, establish a docking mechanism as soon as possible and set up special work teams, promoting substantive cooperation and exchanges as quickly as possible.
