College of Fisheries Makes Strides in Integrative Mode of Talent Training

On March 31, supervisors from Haid Group and College of Fisheries of HZAU held a meeting in Teaching Building No.3 to discuss the joint training program of “Elite Class”.

During the symposium, Li Bin, Executive Deputy Dean of Graduate School extended a warm welcome to the supervisors from Haid Group. According to Li, it was vital to explore the joint training model of postgraduates by universities and enterprises. The joint training program carried out this time with Haid Group is of great significance in the continuous promotion of classified postgraduate training and the integration of industry and education. Li also remarked that postgraduate education mattered in the whole education system. Both universities and enterprises shall shoulder their respective responsibilities, transforming research projects into talent training resources, developing high-level talents, and making due contributions to industry development and social progress.

Focusing on selection mechanism, training mode and management, Cao Yuqiong, Deputy Secretary of CPC Committee of College of Fisheries gave a brief introduction to joint training program of “Elite Class”. She hoped that the innovative model can equip students with the ability to solve practical problems in the industry and increase their adaptability, developing a group of leading talents with innovative spirit and management ability for the industry. According to Qiu Shaoling, assistant to Director of Human Resources Center in Haid Group, the Elite Class represents an example of upgraded cooperation between Haid Group and HZAU in terms of talent training. Besides great importance attached to the Elite Class, Haid Group will also provide all-round support for its talent training.

Supervisors from the Group and HZAU Spoke highly on the joint training model. Moreover, the two sides further discussed such matters as research topics, postgraduate training practice and training quality control and reached consensus on the training processes. After discussion between the two sides, the Elite Class 2021 of the College of Fisheries decided to set up 21 research projects and enrolled 21 professional postgraduates. At last, the training model of industry-education integration for Elite Class finally gained ground.
