The team also communicated with the university leaders who had just received vaccine  on HZAU’s COVID-19 vaccination. Chen indicated that vaccination is the most effective way to prevent and control the epidemic. Colleges and universities should fully understand the important role that conducting COVID-19 vaccination in universities played in the fight against the epidemic. It was significant to promote vaccination in a safe and orderly manner according to the schedule, strengthen the publicity and guidance of vaccination, remove faculty’s and students’ doubts and help them to get a correct understanding of vaccination, thus ensuring that each faculty and student can get vaccinated as soon as possible.

Gao Chi said, in accordance with the requirements of relevant higher authorities, HZAU would strengthen overall planning and coordination, clarify the responsibilities, reasonably allocate manpower and material resources so as to administer COVID-19 vaccination in a standardized, orderly and efficient manner.

Different departments of HZAU, such as school office, CHSC and Department of Campus Construction and Security worked together and completed a series of work such as vaccination plan formulation, vaccination intention questionnaire, application for vaccines, staff arrangement and so on within 4 days. On the morning of March 12th, HZAU started the COVID-19 vaccination for faculty and staff. By the afternoon of March 15th, 2078 faculty members and community residents had been vaccinated.
