On the afternoon of February 26, HZAU and Shenzhen Meat Smart Trading Market Co., Ltd held a signing ceremony of the strategic cooperation agreement. Yao Jianglin, vice-president of HZAU and Chen Weifeng, chairman of the corporation attended the ceremony.
Chen claimed that with the advantage of platform aggregation, the “Shenzhen Meat Smart Trading and Distribution Center” project aimed at promoting the transformation and upgrading of enterprises and the industry and realizing modernization so as to advance and achieve adequate supply, stable price, food safety, traceability construction and consumption upgrading of meat in Shenzhen and Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. As the major and leading role in meat wholesale and distribution of Shenzhen City, Shenzhen Meat Smart Trading Market Co., Ltd. needed advanced technology and professional talents to achieve transformation and upgrading. He wished that through mutual cooperation the two sides could gradually build the industry chain, innovation chain and value chain of meat production, supply and marketing with distinctive characteristics and advantages and jointly create an engineered, standard and intelligent modern food enterprise which could integrate into Shenzhen International Food Valley, thus realizing high-quality development.
Yao revealed that both HZAU and the corporation attached great importance to the signing of the strategic cooperation agreement. The process from the negotiation to the signing of the agreement was featured with high efficiency, reflecting the “Shenzhen Speed”. He suggested that the two parties should work with each other in a joint effort towards the common goal. Firstly, both sides could rely on the expert team to get ready for the planning of the project. Secondly, the two sides should promote the development of specific projects, future R & D projects and achievements transformation projects and follow the “One thing. One way to deal with” approach. Thirdly, after reaching a certain scale, the corporation should implement equity incentive and fully mobilize the enthusiasm of all parties so as to promote the listing of itself.
Yao pointed out that it was necessary to find the correct course and buoy in the development of the times and use advanced technical means instead of implementing trail and error mode. Both sides needed to pay attention to confidentiality and intellectual property protection in the process of cooperation, which was the basis for long-term collaboration and long range development of enterprises.
Later, Prof. Ma Meihu from the College of Food Science and Technology and Chen Weifeng signed a strategic cooperation agreement on R&D services, transformation of scientific and technological achievements and business incubation.
There were also leaders of the relevant units attended the ceremony, such as Huang Yaode, president of Shenzhen Meat Wholesale and Retail Industry Association, Lu Zucai, secretary-general of Shenzhen Agricultural Leading Enterprise Association, the representative of HZAU’s research team and so on.
