On Mar. 3, four representatives, Hu Jianmin (Secretary of CPC Committee of Jiangxi Provincial Institute of Water Sciences), Xie Songhua (Vice President of Jiangxi Provincial Institute of Water Sciences), Tang Chongjun (Director of the Department of Rural Water Management), and Zheng Haijin (Director of the Department of Soil and Water Conservation), visited HZAU. Directors and teachers from the College of Resources & Environment of HZAU, including Lv Shouhua (Secretary of CPC Committee), Tan Wenfeng (Dean), and Shi Wenhua (Vice Dean), welcomed them and attended the symposium.

On behalf of HZAU, Lv extended a warm welcome to Hu and other representatives and expressed his gratitude to the Jiangxi Provincial Institute of Water Sciences for their long-term support to the development of HZAU. Tan introduced HZAU and the College of Resources & Environment in terms of talent training, faculty, scientific research, discipline construction, social services and international exchanges, etc..

Hu acknowledged our achievements in all aspects and gave a brief introduction to Jiangxi Provincial Institute of Water Sciences. Xie said that the institute would set up a new technology innovation center to promote advances in the following five fields: soil and water conservation, water ecology, ecological water conservancy, disaster prevention & mitigation, and water resources & environment.

Since the cooperation project with HZAU during the 13th Five-Year Plan has entered the acceptance stage, Xie hoped that both sides could continue to strengthen cooperation so as to lay a solid foundation for the cooperation project during the 14th Five-Year Plan. Besides, further discussion was carried out on the cooperation plan during the 14th Five-Year Plan.
