Pairing Assistance Team to Tarim University

Guo Ganqi, HZAU’s Vice President, led a team to Tarim University (TU) to promote pairing assistance work during Oct.7-10. They obtained warm reception from Yu Jun and Shi Changqing, TU’s Vice Presidents and other leaders.

In the symposium, Shan Hongshan, Secretary of TU’s Discipline Inspection Commission, extended a warm welcome to Guo, and expressed his gratitude to HZAU for the support and assistance it has given to Tarim University over the years. He then gave an introduction of TU from various aspects, such as personnel training, scientific research, social services, cultural inheritance and innovation, and vision of development. At last,Shan conveyed his hope that HZAU will continue to support the construction of a high-level TU, which featured Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps (XPCC) and its unique geographical location.

Guo reviewed the history and achievements of cooperation and exchanges between HZAU and TU, indicating that their profound friendship was nurtured by longstanding mutual support. He was pleased with the remarkable progress Tarim University had made, and expected that further exchanges and cooperation could provide opportunities to achieve win-win progress. Moreover, HZAU hopes to facilitate the great-leap-forward development of TU to promote the development of Xinjiang and safeguard our borderline with more practical and updated achievements.

An in-depth discussion was followed, in which they shared views on diverse respects, including talent training and development, academic exchanges, construction of research platforms, cooperation on research projects, commercialization of academic results, and application for doctorate programs.

During their stay in TU, Guo and his fellows visited alumni working in Xinjiang and conveyed greetings and appreciation to them on behalf of Alma mater.
